The story behindFreightVIS
FreightVIS exists because Australian transport operators deserve software built for how they actually work, not a generic logistics tool with the spelling changed. Here is why it is built the way it is.
Why we built it
Run a transport business and the software is supposed to help. Too often it does the opposite: three tools that don't talk, numbers re-keyed by hand, and a sinking feeling that something has slipped through a crack you can't see.
FreightVIS started as the answer to that, built against the real shape of a working week: jobs that change at 6am, drivers on the road, invoices that have to reconcile to the cent, and licences and rego that expire whether you remembered them or not.
Crucially, it's built by an operator, not a developer building for an industry from the outside. That difference is why it behaves like it was made for the job: because it was.
If it doesn't earn its place in the yard,
it doesn't ship.
Every screen in FreightVIS has to survive contact with a real operating day. That single rule is why the product feels like it was made for the job: because it was.
How it came together
Not a launch. A build. Three steps from a familiar problem to a platform operators rely on.
- 1The problem
Spreadsheets that never talk to each other
Most freight businesses run on a patchwork: spreadsheets, paper run-sheets, group chats, and accounting software that lives in its own world. Every operator tells the same story of double entry, missed renewals, and no single place to see what is actually happening today.
- 2The approach
Built against reality
Every feature is shaped against the real shape of a working week: jobs that change at 6am, drivers on the road, invoices that must reconcile to the cent, and licences that expire whether you remembered them or not. If it does not survive a real operating day, it does not ship.
- 3The platform
One system, end to end
Dispatch, fleet tracking, timesheets, invoicing, proof of delivery, and compliance, all connected in one place, with Xero and MYOB sync built in. The disconnected tools become a single operating picture you can trust.
The principles behind the product
These aren't slogans. They're the decisions baked into every part of FreightVIS.
Australian-first
en-AU throughout, ABN/ACN validation, AU addresses, Chain of Responsibility and fatigue awareness, and native Xero & MYOB sync. Built to the rules you actually operate under.
Security by default
Strict multi-tenant isolation, row-level security on every table, enforced MFA for admins, and encrypted credentials. Your data is fenced off and locked down, never an afterthought.
Built for the work
Shaped by how dispatch, drivers, and billing actually behave on a real operating day, not by a product manager guessing from a slide deck. If it does not earn its place in the yard, it does not ship.
Always improving
Shipped continuously, with feedback from the field turned into features fast. The platform you sign up for keeps getting sharper, week after week.
See it for yourself
The best way to understand FreightVIS is to see how it fits the way you already work.
